About Our Services

Many years ago, a client criticised the financial services industry for being "shrouded in sorcery and magic".

Another commented - "Small print! There's small print and there's tiny!".

We understood what they meant, and this has had a major influence on how we provide our services. We therefore make no apology for our straightforward approach to identifying a client's financial planning needs. Simply put, these might be in any of the the following four areas:

1. Protection - Premature Death or Critical Illness

Protecting those we care most about in the event of a premature death, or suffering a critical illness.

2. Investment - Regular or Capital Sum

Investing to achieve our objectives in the most tax-efficient ways.

3. Retirement Planning

Developing a plan that will provide the kind of lifestyle we dream of in retirement.

4. Mortgages

Ensuring all borrowing is re-paid in the most efficient ways possible. For mortgages, we can be paid by commission, a fee of typically £500, or a combination of commissions & fees.

Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage.

And central to all of these financial plans are:

Protection - Income

Protecting our income should we suffer a long-term illness, disability or unemployment.

For Accident, Sickness & Unemployment cover, we usually offer products from a single provider - St. Andrew's (arranged through Payment Shield).

Tax Planning

Ensuring all legitimate tax planning opportunites are considered as a Financial Plan is developed.

Details of the full range of services and products that we advise on is provided on the "Services in Detail" page.

Specialisms

We recognise that clients increasingly require advice in areas that are now acknowledged as being particularly complex or sensitive in their nature. Developing a team of specialists able to assist in such matters is one of our key corporate strategies. We are pleased to confirm such specialist services on the "Services in Detail" page.

The Advice Process

The "KeyFacts" about the cost of our services (190KB) summarises our approach to assessing your potential needs and then providing advice. A more detailed explanation of how we work is available on "The Advice Process" page.

The "KeyFacts" document also explains your payment options for the advice we provide. We believe in complete flexibility to ensure you are able to access advice at a reasonable cost, whether payment is by a fee, commission or a combination of the two.

The separate document "KeyFacts About Our Services" (172KB) importantly confirms our ability to access the whole of the market place* to source the products & services that we might consider in satisfying your planning needs.

*With the exception of some insurance products - see the "KeyFacts" for details.
